Coverage: 2017-01 through 2026-09.

Aena monthly traffic statistics for Menorca airport (MAH / LEMH). Passengers count arrivals plus departures, including residents; operations count landings plus takeoffs. These are movements, not unique visitors or people currently on the island. Unpublished months are absent. Snapshots are refreshed manually, not on every visit.

OBSAM Pressió Humana Diària (PHD) estimates all people present, including residents, visitors and seasonal workers. It is not a live census or a tourist count. Cruise day visitors and private-boat visitors are excluded. Monthly means and daily minima/maxima are calculated from the daily worksheet; published monthly-summary revisions are retained separately. Values from 2024 onward are provisional. Missing dates are unknown.

### Today’s seasonal estimate

The interactive Today panel uses a published daily PHD estimate when available. Otherwise, its seasonal model takes the median of the same seven-day seasonal increases above each year’s January–February baseline in the three latest complete years from 2022 onward preceding the target year, then adds the latest available winter baseline. Its range is the minimum/maximum of those historical patterns, not a confidence interval. Estimates round to the nearest thousand and stop more than 550 days after the last published day. It uses no real-time passenger or phone feed. The tables and population download contain published historical estimates. Open the interactive panels for today’s seasonal estimate.

## Flight arrivals and origin shares

Aena scheduled arrivals at MAH: up to six saved past days, today and six future days. Past days are saved schedules, not confirmed landings; today merges saved flights with the rolling board. Changes after a snapshot can be missed. Known cancellations and diversions at collection time are excluded. Country and airport shares count each flight equally; they do not describe passenger shares, residence or nationality. The daily collector runs at 03:00 UTC; the edge summary cache is 15 minutes when history is enabled. Check arrivals.fetchedAt, stale, error, historyError, history and each day’s kind. Missing days are gaps even if their flights field is zero; do not infer no arrivals. Calendar days use Europe/Madrid; begin and end are Unix seconds.

## Historical beach crowds and popularity

Count years: 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2025. Seasonal profiles use 2021, 2022, 2023, 2025. No observations are supplied for absent years.

Historical beach surveys from the Agència Menorca Reserva de Biosfera, separate from today’s GOIB reports. users contains peak August counts by year; area is sand area in m² and capacity is a recommended planning threshold (5 m²/person for urban beaches, 10 m²/person for natural beaches), not a live space count. season contains typical busiest-hour headcounts for early/late July, August and September; hours contains the mean share of each counting day’s maximum at 12:00, 14:00 and 17:00. Missing counts are unknown. Sector counts are combined where a beach has multiple sectors.

Popularity is a derived 0–100 summer index, separate from the 0–10 modelled beach comfort score and from current occupancy. It combines 60% historical footfall and 40% weighted coverage in 14 travel-guide lists. peak is the mean peak August count of up to three latest counted years where measured is present; otherwise it is an estimate based on beach length and walking time. measured.year is the latest counted year, not the only year in that mean. overCapacity is the percentage above recommended capacity, not the percentage of capacity occupied. Uncounted beaches retain measured: null. Seasonal index values follow the six July–September fortnights, not today’s conditions.
