Getting there
From Ciutadella follow signs to Cala Morell, then La Vall / Algaiarens; drive slowly on the narrow road through the pines. The car park is 5–10 minutes from the sand; check the sign at the entrance showing whether it is full. Guides disagree on whether it is currently paid.
Where to eat nearby
Guides list no bar or restaurant within walking distance. Bring water, food and shade.
Restaurants, menus and opening hours change from season to season; many close in winter. Check before you go and book in summer.
Good to know
- No food or drink on the beach: bring water, shade and a bag for rubbish.
- Shallow, calm water when there is no north wind.
Worth combining
- Cala Morell and its necropolis, a short drive west.

Wind & shelter
The catalogue records this beach as opening towards NW. Wind coming from that direction can drive waves towards the shore; wind from the opposite direction may give more shelter near the sand. Headlands, terrain and offshore swell can change the result.
North-facing beaches such as Cavalleria can be exposed during Tramuntana. Compare south-coast alternatives and the actual wind and waves before travelling.
