Before you set off · Menorca
Can I get to the beach?
Check parking reports, summer car restrictions and how to reach Menorca’s busiest coves. Start with Macarella, Macarelleta, Turqueta, Son Saura, La Vall, Presili and Tortuga.
A car restriction or full car park concerns the approach by vehicle. It does not establish whether the beach is open for swimming or access on foot. “No access control” does not confirm spaces. Follow signs and staff instructions on arrival.

How current is this information?
Parking states come from the Consell Insular’s Mou-T parking page. The time shown is when our service retrieved that page; Mou-T does not supply an observation time in the fields we read. A reported space can fill before you arrive.
We request updates every two minutes from June to September and every fifteen minutes otherwise while this page is visible. Outside 1 June–30 September, access defaults to “Open”, even if Mou-T has no information. A fresh report of a closure or full car park overrides that default. During summer, missing reports or reports older than five minutes become “Access unconfirmed”. Outside summer, reports older than eighteen minutes fall back to the seasonal “Open” default.
Seasonal dates come from the site’s recurring planning catalogue. They are not an annually verified opening calendar. Timetables, fares, restriction dates and exceptions must be checked with Bus Macarella, Bus Favàritx or the beach bus service. Source pages may retain information from earlier seasons.
Questions before travelling
Can I drive to Macarella or Macarelleta in summer?
The recurring catalogue lists private-car restrictions from June to September. Check this year’s dates on the official Bus Macarella page. Plan for L69 from Ciutadella and a final walk, or a walking route from Cala Galdana. Macarelleta shares this approach and has no car park of its own.
Are Turqueta, Son Saura and La Vall bus-only?
These have capacity-controlled parking. Unlike the seasonal Macarella approach, private-car access can be allowed while parking is available, then closed when full. Check their individual report before driving. Seasonal buses are another option.
Does a green parking report guarantee I can get in?
No. It is the latest state retrieved from the source, not a reservation or a guarantee for your arrival time. We show a retrieval time for source reports. Outside 1 June–30 September, “Open” is the seasonal default when there is no current report.
Is beach access the same as wheelchair accessibility?
This page covers road restrictions and parking. For mobility facilities and the final walking route, read the individual beach guide and confirm current assistance services locally.
